The United Methodist Church affirms the worth, dignity, and inherent value and rights of all persons regardless of their nationality or legal status.

The Obama Administration is nearing two million deportations. That's 2 million people deported since 2009!

Every day 1100 people are deported.

We are urging people of faith to call President Obama on Wednesday, February 19. Can we get 1100 (or more) calls?

Call President Obama (enter )

Sample Script:

Mr. President, as your administration approaches 2 million deportations, people of faith have a simple message for you: Stop the deportations.

The United Methodist Church calls for a ban to all arrests, detainments, and deportations of undocumented children. We need you to show principled leadership to end all deportations. Thank you.

A Call to Action

"The United Methodist Church affirms the worth, dignity, and inherent value and rights of all persons regardless of their nationality or legal status." (Welcoming the Migrant to the US, #3281, 2012 Book of Resolutions) The Church calls upon people of faith to "call the United States government to immediately cease all arrests, detainment, and deportations of undocumented immigrants, including children, solely based upon their immigration status until a fair and comprehensive immigration reform is passed."
